  2. I always considered this to be the funeral song for the Vegas that once was and the golden age of the American Mafia.

    1. everything in the world isnt necesseraly about the fucking sjws you know

  3. sometimes wish Casino didnt star both De Niro and Pesci …. (or I had seen Casino first) …

both were so strong, and Id have loved either of them, but with both of them side by side I always had trouble separating them for their Goodfellas characters. suspend my belief as I may, I always had trouble seeing Pescis Nicky as more of a boss because I always saw too much of his Tommy (Goodfellas) in him — felt like him slowly spiraling out of control until hes whacked deju vu.

maybe if someone else was cast as Sam, it would have been easier to see Pescis Nicky as his own character. but with De Niro and Pesci side-by-side and Pesci such a similar character — just more of a boss this time as the story progressed — just found it hard to separate the two.

flip side is, I have no idea who would have been a more believable Nicky… I mean, it is a Pesci character …

TBH sometimes I wish I had saw Casino first because I think Goodfellas (being Pesci was clearly more of an enforcer) wouldnt have given me the same type casting issue.

  4. The perfect movie does exists…what a great and smart ending them…it brings back not only the memories but our life memories how, when, and with whom we watched the movie.

  5. The town will never be the same. After the Tangiers, the big
corporations took it all over. Today it looks like Disneyland. And while
the kids play cardboard pirates, Mommy and Daddy drop the house
payments and Juniors college money on the poker slots. In the old days,
dealers knew your name, what you drank, what you played. Today, its
like checkin into an airport. And if you order room service, youre
lucky if you get it by Thursday. Today, its all gone. You get a whale
show up with four million in a suitcase, and some twenty-five-year-old
hotel school kid is gonna want his Social Security Number.

  6. Honestly this song should be called The Beauty of Devastation this song carries a depressing failure and destruction yet one of survival and triumph. It seriously is perfect for a film about losing an empire and corruption destroys all we create. Seriously this song just works so well for the film.

  7. Sick or no fucking sick you knew people were gonna get clipped followed by Look…why take a chance? At least, thats the way I feel about it is probably my favourite couple lines of dialogue in the film. Here are all the bosses praising the man hes a soldier, a fucking marine, a stand up guy just like his old man, he wont talk. But in the end, none of it matters, because the only end for a man in the mafia is behind bars or with a bullet in the head

  8. Do you want to get rid of me? Here I am go ahead get rid of me.

  9. 1980: Raging Bull
    1990: Goodfellas
    1995: Casino

What do all these movies have in common? Directed by Martin Scorsese. Starring Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. And they’re all masterpieces. I seriously can’t wait for the Irishman.

    1. Robert Dennehy, the score at the end of the movie makes me feel sad, especially Joe Pesci coming out of retirement for one last great performance.

    2. @Angel Castaneda definitely felt like an end of era, sad in a way that the 3 giants in my opinion would never share a film again

    3. My brother bought me all three movies together for Christmas 2015.

  10. I use to take drugs until I had A break down and became mentally ill, then I was in and out of the psychiatric hospital for ten years, full of real low lives, know what I mean?

  11. these actors are a rare breed so gidgifted i love them both

  12. I LOVE this movie. Throughout this long gut wrenching story, lives and love are lost. And nothing is changed, it ends with, and thats that, as in life.

  13. One of the best mafia movies (with Goodfellas) I have ever seen! This art of movies is so dead.. but this movie will never die for me!

  14. Ive seen Casino.25times.n it still gives me great watch it.all over. Classic.

  15. The brutality of the baseball bat scene was 100% necessary.. why mess up a good thing?

  16. The ending theme is a requiem for the loss of being able to operate a casino, the loss of love between Sam & Ginger, betrayal of Sam by Nicky and Ginger, the death of Nicky and the various characters by the mob bosses… It is quite an appropriate piece to end the movie on…

Just as the part from Bachs Saint Matthews Passion was for the opening title… Full of foreboding and approaching death and destruction…

  17. This is why Casino will always have a special place in my heart. Even though some people dislike it due to its violence and the fact that it copies Goodfellas, but given the interesting story, complex characters, acting, direction, cinematography and of course the music I will always love it and defend it.

  18. La vida es como una pelicula de gaster, quien cree ke son tus mejores amigos son los ke al final te traicionan, eso es una gran verdad y siempre la mayoria son a los que mas aprecio tienes.

  19. Holy fucking shit-fuck!!! This films a fucking masterpiece.

  25. I grew up in Vegas in the 70s and the movie picked up the vibe perfectly.

  29. It always annoys me when people say this a bad copy of GoodFellas or a rehash. They are two totally fantasic films dealing with different aspects of the Mafia.

    1. I honestly prefer Casino. GoodFellas is a tighter story and pretty much damn near perfect, but the characters in Casino and their relationships were way more complex and interesting imo. That’s what sold me

    2. Alex Cyrson You could say it’s basically Goodfellas in Las Vegas, but one thing I like about this movie is that the focal point is De Niro and Pesci. It’s being told from their preservatives.

  30. Notice how the end theme reflects the theme of the movie woww

  31. I go back to watch Goodfellas every couple of months… and every time I do I end up following it with Casino every single time. It never fails.

  32. This video has been a part of my life for almost a decade.

  33. Brilliant movie, every scene contains gems. Just as excellent as the book.

  34. I seen this when it first came out i went as a kid to the theater and watched it over and over

  35. ‘No one stays at the top forever’

One of THE BEST crime epics ever made!!!

  36. Thats a French soundtrack, with Michel Piccoli and Romy Schneider.
    I never picked it up.

  37. You were only got your f****** casino because I made it possible. Im what counts out here. Not your f****** country clubs fancy cars TV shows and what the f*** are you doing on TV anyway. You know I get calls from back home every day thinking you went batshit.

  38. The end is Just the beginning in Christ. Forget money and forgive us. +

  39. Georges Delerue – Camilles Theme, from Contempt (1963). Only a cinephile like Scorsese could come up with this gorgeous French New Wave score and use it so efficiently!

  40. What a film damn !!! ❤️❤️❤️ much love from france 🇫🇷

  41. I want this fucking poster, shirt or both! Every time I see it i want that score to pop out as well.
